Kidz Worship

Ages: Pre-K through 5th grade.

Location: Upstairs after all ages gather in the Sanctuary for praise songs and Children's Sermon.

We recognize that kids have differing spiritual growth needs and different learning styles.  Kidz Worship not only teaches kids the structure and flow of worship we do in the Sanctuary, it helps them engage in it.  Kids and adults alike are moved by authentic-meaningful worship and hands-on service.  That’s the design concept for Kids’ Worship.

GATHERING

  •  Praise songs: Music engages kids in worship. Kids sing along to contemporary songs with lyrics and video projected.
  • Community Prayer: Prayer teaches kids that our faith and worship is relational.  We talk to God and care for one another.  Sharing blessing and concerns in a large group or by writing them down, and lead a prayer with the kids.  This is a great place to get the kids involved in leadership—to lead the prayer when they feel comfortable.

 HEARING THE WORD

  • Scripture Story Telling:
  • Reflection – 1) What questions do you have? 2) What do you like about the story? 3) How would you have written the story differently? 4) If you were a character in the story, what would you have done? 5) What do you think God wants you to do differently today?

 RESPONDING TO THE WORD

  • Hands-on project: There are a variety of ways to respond to God’s Word.  It may be an ongoing project to put on display for all in our church family to enjoy.  It could be a care packages or other service projects.

 SENDING
